Ameris Bank Breaks Ground for New Location in Lexington, South Carolina.

Lexington, SC, Ameris Bank, a full-service financial institution, recently broke ground for the construction of their newest location in Lexington, SC. Currently serving customers around the midlands area from an office in downtown Columbia as well as an office in Lexington in the Hope Ferry Plaza; the new Lexington location across from the US Post Office on the 700 block of West Main Street will be their permanent location and Lexington County Headquarters.
"Ameris Bank has definitely seen its share of positive response from the communities we have entered into in South Carolina," says Richard Sturm, South Carolina Regional Executive. "With the addition of this new location in Lexington and construction underway for the Irmo location, we will be better able to respond to our customers needs for convenience." Sturm, along with John Hipp, Mze Wilkins and Marc Bogan will lead Ameris Bank's expansion around South Carolina.
Construction of Lexington location is scheduled to be complete in the latter part of 2008. Scott Wilhide, Lexington County President will oversee the operations of both this Lexington location as well as the up and coming location in Irmo, on Lake Murray Boulevard-scheduled to open Summer 2008.
