Ameris Bank Opens for Business in Tallahassee, Florida

Tallahassee, FL, Ameris Bank, a full-service financial institution, recently opened for business in Tallahassee, Florida. The bank opened its doors in December of 2007 and held a Grand Opening reception for the community on February 7, 2008. Donations were made by Ameris Bank to the United Way and the Southern Scholarship Foundation during the Grand Opening event.
Heading up Ameris Bank's expansion into the Tallahassee market is Dave Buckridge. Buckridge has an extensive background in banking and is also currently overseeing the company's location in Crawfordville, Florida. Tara C. Sanders has joined Buckridge at the Tallahassee location as the Branch Manager.
The grand opening event hosted many people from Tallahassee, Crawfordville and surrounding communities. In addition to the presentation of donations, guests were invited to learn about Ameris Bank, meet key management and executives, offered tours of the bank office and were given the opportunity to open accounts.
"We really want to get the word out that we're here," said Buckridge, "the community focused banking style that Ameris Bank boasts is unmatched by competing banks and we're excited to have the opportunity to bring this to Tallahassee."
